I travelled from Puri to Howrah by Dhauli Exp. on April 7, 2010 with my family. We were served : Chicken Biryani, Egg Biryani, Veg & Non-veg Cutlet and omlette, The Biryanis were misnomer and turned out to be ordinary Chi. & Egg curry rice sans other items served with lunch/dinner. I wanted to talk to the pantry manager (pmgr) and demanded the Suggestion/complaint book. None were available for over 2 hrs despite repeated requests. susequently phoned A.M., IRCTC, Delhi and another Rly official. connected with passanger facility. At this point pmgr & 2 other came and begged for forgiveness. The TTE joined in the pleadings. A sizeable no. of passangers also complained about the food. The matter is being persued to obtain positive and preventive action. Despite the efforts by the Rly Ministry, some unscrupulous caterer are cheating the passangers. High time we wake up & exercise our rights. - Basu Thakur-
