From Krishanagar station, you can walk to the bus stand where you can get a bus which will take you to Ghurni, an important center of production of clay dolls. Situated at a distance of almost 6 km, here you can view and purchase clay models of almost any variety(idols, toys, busts etc). The clay models are lifelike and there are many stores from where you can choose them(it is like the Kumartuli of Kolkata). This is also the birthplace of Gopal Bhar, an important historical figure and a "navaratna" in the court of Raja Krishnachandra Rai. So if you are visiting Krishnanagar and have some time to spare, do visit this place.
