If it stucks in RAC then you can board the train.you will get a berth number which you will hav to share with other passenger who has got same berth. Regarding excess fare, no you don't hav to pay a single penny incase you get CNF berth. You hav paid the full fare and hav RAC ticket and you are eligible to board and occupy your seat whoch will be provided upon chart preparation.
Book it if you haven't till now..Post PNR in PNR forum for predictions.

Even if it gets Stuck in RAC you are very much a legal ticket holder and can travel sharing berth with co-passenger, no need to pay anything extra after you buy the ticket. very high chances it will get confirm.

Would be in RAC only after chart preparation also..and you would be charged full fare with half seat.
