Viceroy Lord Curzon. That time it's name was 'Star of India'. It got it's current name after Independence in 1947. Also the statue of 3 fairies were added later. It is a very beautiful and well-maintained monument. Has been well decorated too in recent days. It is said that this gate is ranked 4th in the whole country after India Gate, Gateway of India and Charminar. But I am not sure about the accuracy of that claim.
