May be yes(not as rule and applicable here only ) if plenty of berths are available and you have a confirmed berth ticket.
so in this case one may board the train at swm in off seasons as a few seats are always available in off peak.

If u have CNF Ticket, its risky to board @ SWM!!
If u dnt have reservation, purchase First Class Unreserved Ticket for BCT & @ arrival of the DRNTO, contact TTE for vacant berth. In case it available, he will locate the berth & later will collect difference in fare, if any & issue receipt against it.
PS: The First Class Unreserved Ticket is costlier than 3A & to adjust, the TTE may locate for 2A/1A. The difference collection will be made on JP-BCT Fare, not SWM-BCT Fare. No Fine, in case berth...

Explanation needs to be refined... can WL Ticket holder board the duronto... NO... Hence the TTE cannot allot seat to a WL rather it would go to RAC.. Thanks
