can we change the boarding point of a online booked ticket ? , if so how may hours before the scheduled departure of train, we can change

Yes you can change.
Goto nearby PRS with the copy of your e ticket + original id proof of any one of the passenger booked in the ticket + written application to Chief Reservation Supervisor to get change the boarding point before 24 hours of the schedule departure of the train from original boarding point.
