#sitesuggestion #moderator Sir, Nowadays, every post and every linked video or recorded audio is posted with several members being tagged alongside. This is obviously done with the motivation that the tagged members would subsequently rate and comment on the blog, keeping the blog in the trending list. However I have a few suggestions and some mild criticism towards this feature of tagging other members! 1. My biggest criticism is that why do some members have to tag you in every railfanning post? Now I am not critical of your railfanning passion, otherwise indiarailinfo wouldn't be there, but tagging you in almost every post must make it harrowing experience for you to scuttle through all these blogs and find a post that commands your attention (I am talking of sitesuggestions, member requests, greivances etc). In the process of getting tagged by over-enthusiastic members, many posts that would have been attended by you inpromptu, often get lost in the...

mix. Take the example of Saif today, his account got accidentally deleted. Now he is a well known member and henceforth many guys rushed to his side. However had it been a new member, I am not sure whether the issue would have been resolved that quick. What am I suggesting is that you are already overburdened with member requests, fm requests and so on. We don't need to make your task all the more difficult by tagging you in this video's. 2. My second criticism is that very often good content is overshadowed by posts having the highest number of tags. No offence to anyone but it happens very often that blogs of pristine qualities are often overwhelmed by the barrage of comments and ratings that the more popular posts receive! Suggestions! 1. I suggest a change in the blogging system wherein you can be only tagged in categories like 'Site related', 'Site suggestion', 'Info updates' etc. You should not end up getting tagged in categories like 'Railfanning' and ' Pic uploads' :p 2. This one may be bit harsh, but may be it is needed now. Why not abolish the tag system altogether. The member who desires to bring the attention of another member can private the same to him/her. AFAIK there is no restriction in privating any number of members at the same time. Other blogs don't get disturbed, the blog space also looks cleaner. Come on! We blogged like this without a hitch for 3-4 years, and I can't understand why this 'tagging' feature needs to be indispensable all of a sudden. IRI shouldn't be turned into another Facebook, let it remain the social blogsphere of by and for the ferroequinologists! 3. I think I have been suggesting this to you for 2 years in running now :p . Kindly bring back the 'Disagree' option. It was a great way to let the other member know about your difference in opinions! Blogging without it isn't just the same. Suggestions and constructive criticism from other members are welcome! Arnab
