Engineering works status on the UDZ-COR section.
(As of April 1, 2018)
-
Level crossing elimination
* Level crossing elimination work ongoing between KLH and PMO.
*
...
This excludes some sections between FAN and BSJ, and BSJ and KIN, where the track is 110 kmph capable.
* DRB to KLH is almost LC-free and trains run at around 80 kmph.
* Ex PMO to GSD and beyond is LC-free and 110 kmph-capable.
* One LC remains between GSD and COR (near milepost 2.5).
-
Electrification - Foundation work
* No foundation work between UDZ and KLH (incl.)
* Foundation work complete between ex KLH and milepost 72.5.
* Foundation work in progress between milepost 72.5 and 71.5, with digging complete and foundation material lying next to the pits.
* No foundation work between mileposts 71.5 and 64.1. This includes MVJ.
* Complete foundation work between mileposts 64.1 and 57.7 (ex. FAN).
* Complete foundation work between mileposts 53.3 and KIN (incl.) This excludes a 1 km block immediately preceding BSJ, though works at BSJ are complete.
* Complete foundation work between about 6 km after KIN and immediately before PMO.
* Complete foundation work between 1 km after PMO and 5 km before GSD.
-
Electrification - Pole work
All of the following is presently only complete as far as erecting electrical poles. There are no wire supports or wires at the moment.
* End of the KIN platform to about 6 km after KIN.
* About 5 km before GSD to milepost 1.7 (immediately preceding the approach signal at BEC).

Updates, as of April 29, 2018.
-
Level crossing elimination
* LC elimination in full swing between Khemli and Mavli.
* Out of the ten LCs I could count, one is complete (but still has

a speed restriction), five are in progress, and work hasn't started on the remaining four.
* As a result, the speed on the section is currently very restricted (20km/h in places) and 10-15 minutes of delay between Udaipur and Mavli can be seen.
* Between MVJ and KIN, the progress is slow.
* Out of the 11 LCs between Mavli and Bhupal Sagar, one is complete and MPS ready, while work is in progress on two.
-
Electrification - Foundation Work
* Work has finally begun between Khemli and Debari.
* Currently, about 4 kilometers of work (out of 10) has been finished, starting at Khemli and heading towards Debari.
* Foundation work has also been completed at Khemli.
* Some progress between Khemli and Mavli. Except for a 2km block between mileposts 71.9 and 70.0, work has been finished up to right before Mavli.
* Zero foundation work on Mavli.
* Some more progress between Mavli and Fatehnagar.
* About 600m of added foundations (milepost 64.7 instead of 64.1).
* No foundation work at all on Fatehnagar Station, still, though it picks up immediately following the station and continues on till Kapasan. The small section missing between Bhupal Sagar and Kapasan has been finished.
-
Electrification - Pole Work
* No changes. It seems no new poles were commissioned.
-
Electrification - Other Works
* Work has started on the traction substation at Mavli.
* What looks like a 132kV line has been drawn.
* The site of the substation has been leveled and surrounded with a cement parapet.

Updates for the month of May. Now with more potato-quality pictures featuring meme-level motion blurring.
.
Electrification - Foundation Work
* Some more foundation work between Khemli and Debari, but not very significant progress here.
*
...
Foundation work on Khemli station and the adjoining CONCOR depot is making good progress.
* The stretch between Khemli and Mavli is almost complete, with perhaps a dozen or so foundations that have been dug but not cemented.
* Work at Mavli Junction proper has finally begun! And not a moment too soon, given that the rains are just a month away.
.
Electrification - Pole Work
* Major progress at Kapasan station. The majority of the station has poles, and they seem to be treating it as some sort of a local depot for poles. Maybe next month, I'll report polework between Kapasan and Bhupal Sagar!
* With the exception of Pandoli station (and possibly Netawal station which I didn't get a chance to observe), there's now total pole work between Kapasan and Chittorgarh bypass.
* This includes Ghosunda station, where, barring a half dozen poles, all poles have horizontal struts attached.
* For about 2.8 kilometres starting at mark 13/5 (about 3.5 km outside Ghosunda), free-hinged wire supports with insulation have been affixed to the poles.
.
Electrification - Related Works
* The parapet at Mavli that marked the site of the traction substation now stands surmounted with a metal fence. Kids still find ways to sneak in and were using the well-leveled area as an impromptu cricket field.
.
Overall, there's been pretty significant work over the past month. I've gone from viewing the December target with pessimism to guarded, cautious optimism. While I'm a little skeptical about Udaipur, perhaps we'll see a CRS between Chittorgarh and Khemli early next year.
.
It's a good thing that there has been so much effort on polework. During the high rainfall months of July, August, and September, work on wiring in these sections can take place once the severe thunderstorms and squalls have settled down.
.
Finally, there is no progress of any kind past the NWR-WR boundary near Berach Junction. Western Railway doesn't feel like waking from its slumber quite yet.

#AjmerUdaipurElectrification updates for mid-June.
.
Foundation work:
- Little enough since the last update. Some more foundation towards Debari and Khemli (near Khemli), and some more foundation work at Mavli Junction proper.
...
- No foundation work at Debari, Rana Pratapnagar, and Udaipur.
- Complete foundation work from about 2 kilometers outside Mavli all the way to Berach Junction.
.
Pole work:
- OHE poles are loosely kept in the foundations, uncemented, between 3 kilometers outside Fatehnagar and Bhupal Sagar.
- Between Bhupal Sagar and Berach Junction, there are now cemented poles, barring about two dozen scattered poles here and there they are not cemented into the earth. Pandoli is one exception where there's zero pole work of any kind.
- Between Kapasan and Berach Junction, all poles except a few dozen have wiring supports installed.
- There are no wires anywhere between Udaipur and Berach Junction at the moment.
- On balance, the pole work has really kicked up. The pole depot at Kapasan is nearly empty, where it used to be nearly full less than a month back.
.
Other works:
- Again, there is zero progress in the Chittorgarh-Chanderia Junction complex, other than a few hundred meters of foundations between the stations.
- They seem to have started work on the traction substation at Mavli.
.
See you next month with more updates!

Completely agree. The link is crucial for the electrification in the NWR region to be of any use.
