Happy Birthday to my Favorite Train.
38 years of Glorious Service and still to see some more.
Travelling in it since the age of 3 years.

Correct me if I am wrong, but AFAIK Neelanchal was the first train service between Puri and New Delhi. It was started before the Chandrapura-Gomoh (Dhanbad bypass) line was built in the early 1980s. Purushottam was started after Neelanchal.
Prior to this devlopments, this two train would take the now extinct Chandrapura-Dhanbad line, and would be hauled by a steam locomotive upto Dhanbad, from wherein this an Asansol electric locomotive would take charge upto Mughalsarai.
Back then, the present Dhanbad station was non-existent rather the railway station was situated near the present CCU...
