I just saw a 1985 time table and the speed of most of trainss say 90 percent is same today as well...ex tamil nadu express , punjab mail etc....my question is why hasnt indian railways increased its speed in 25 years

so most trains were behind schedule in those days
## I defer with this words, in 1970 also the trains were running as per TT time mention in TT books and rule of full refund if train runs more then 3 hours late was from 1960 so how most of the train were behind schedule in those days. Is you mean those days TT were just a simple display book.
