I just saw a 1985 time table and the speed of most of trainss say 90 percent is same today as well...ex tamil nadu express , punjab mail etc....my question is why hasnt indian railways increased its speed in 25 years

By the way could you tell me what is Dep time of TN exp from Mas and Arr time in NDLS in the time table book of 1985 which you have mention.
