Bokaro Steel City station under ADRA division finally gets electricity supply independent of BTPS and CTPS in view of insufficient power and overcharging. Following DRM's request new grid with power supply from Santaldih Thermal Power Station (STPS) has been setup to power every appliance uninterrupted. Cost of new grid stands at ₹1.5 cr and comes with rain protection.
Railway has already provided solar panels at station premises to power water pumps and announcement system.
