It's downright absurd that this train does not halt at Varanasi. Granted that MGS is a satellite station but it still requires a good 45 minutes of road travel. Even in its heydays, the Himgiri halted at Varanasi and skipped MGS commerciallly. With Mamata's 'pet' trains, one never knows what to expect.

Yes, that's what I hope too. Once, MGS-BSB is energized, they should remove the MGS halt and have the loco change done at BSB. But with IR at its illogical best, you never know....
