I heard of something called "Ladies quota" in trains. What is it?
How is it different? Is it similar to other sleeper coaches?

OK. Thanku for the info? Have u seen anything of that sort? I have never seen anything like that evr in my train journeys.
These are Seats / Berths - kept blocked for ladies like Tatkal / VIP quota Seats / Berths are kept. No difference in appearance or no marking also to this effect.
It is a quota of 4 or 6 lower berth tickets reserved against travel by single ladies. There is no separate marking etc. This quota is identified in the resvn system. thats all. they will be given normal seat numbers in coaches but that will be in lower berth only.

The above statement posted by you is not true.
Ladies Quota is available to ladies & children below 12 years but can be booked for a group also, not necessarily for single passenger.
Good Wishes.
