Not talking about profit but filling the train , instead of driving them away to air and road travel.
Many mixed train also doesn't get filled . IR is happy introducing premium fare train so let them do
Btw this train was already tested from last 2 years. Close to 8 Ac coaches were there with tatkal fare which went full mostly with that halt pattern. Even dynamic fare suvidha was run in return direction which was also full. If those got filled that time as a special, then this if it had same halt pattern would have been OK. Regular trains naturally gets more publicity than spls.
Selecting 3rd one because less stops compared to Special which ran earlier. According to my known region, Atleast Udupi skip in KR was not Expected.

2 years ago railways experimented on this route with dynamic priced train GIMB-TEN. It had 8 AC coaches which went full. 8 AC coaches can be filled from GIMB. And rest can be fill by ADI/BRC . Atleast TVC tak toh khaali nahi jaayegi. And as I have said earlier that HS cases are uncertain same applies to this.
