Footings & excavation might be taking place in different places within Reach - 1. They might have given update as together.
Footing was done close to Kasarwadi railway station, they got very big yard for all these footing manufacturing.
I really dont see the reason of constructing the route, its just parallel to the Pune local trains route. Also there is huge national highway parallel to this route. I think people hardly takes this metro even its finished.
They should keep more focus on Katraj, Hinjewadi routes. Still for a city like Pune metro may not be that suitable. Wide roads, very less traffic jams except some parts of City. Also very planned BRTS makes Pune to commute easily by road when compare to many cities in india.
