Is it safe to catch 17310 VSG-YPR from MAO after alighting from Mandovi on Mondays?

No this is not safe. I missed VSG-YPR from MAO. That day Konkan kanya was delayed by 2 hours due to loco failure of Mangala at sindhudurg. Due to that Mandovi departed from CSMT only at 09.30. Reached MAO only at 01.00. Horrendous run with continous looping post RN. Even ASR-KCVL and Netravathi overtook mandovi before MAO.
Took next day amaravati+JS to reach back to YPR.
The TTE onboard told me you have no chance of catching VSG-YPR.
