Well If the person is not travelling with much luggage, Metro is far better option.
Time (Lets assume equal)
Comfort: Air-Conditioned Travel with no Jerks Vs 5 minute extra walk
Cost: 90 per Pax Vs 350 Rs.

Sir already had a talk to the Passenger, he has to report at the Airport at 10am..so its better for a Person who is new to the City, to take a Taxi rather finding the way out to the Airport Express & then the Fare Counters plus then coming out of Aerocity & negotiating with the Locals..!!
The Cab is a shared one, so they wont move till they are full with 4-5 passengers..!!

The Reliance Metro allows luggage as it is a Specialised Airport Train..!!
Usually it goes upto Terminal 3 & passengers going upto T3 can Check In at the Metro Station itself..!!
But, though u going to T 1D, Check in cant be done..uyou will have to get down at Aerocity..which is 2-3kms from T1D..!!
The Metro is not crowded at all & has no

peak time..its not so popular..!!
Walking down with 2 kids to the Airport Line could be a tough time with luggage also(10mins)....NDLS is still to get a direct underground tunnel connectivity to the Airport Line..!!
