Partially due to shortage of e locos & also to ensure utilisation of D locos.
Functioning as a link carrier from ERS shed to Nilambur route as NIL-ERS pass got extended to Kottayam.
It is hard to believe that it is due to shortage of E-loco since it already runs with E-loco from TVC but ya maybe it is for proper utilization of D-loco.
