Hey you dont speak without understanding the point im mentioning a 4500 hp loco is a waste for this small train an alco is better alcos are very good in acceleration for 14 coach train. So you be careful before commenting anything without understanding the actual point. I think you still need to understand the sentences more powerful loco for a small train is not required doesnt mean that train is useless. There is no change in timings and speed of this train after emd was given so whats the use of giving a powerful loco. This loco can be used for some other express trains which are still running with alcos. So better understand the point and comment it will be better
But there is not change in timings or speed after emd is given so whats the use ok if this train is having more than 20 coaches then emd is required for 14 coaches alco is more than enough. First of all kjm is giving away some of its emds to other sheds to accommodate electric locos. Erode diesel shed also have less number of wdp4d if there are surplus locos they can provide emds to each and every diesel haulud train.
Allotment of ALCo or EMD is not done only for purpose of increase in Speed. This logic is totally flawed! If yesterday Karwar ICE got Alco n next week it gets EMD, what will you expect? Should it be before time at all stations? Please understand that allocation of loco depends on various factors, things that are far more important than being called 'Useless' or 'Useful'! So if you have any better logic to substantiate your claims, continue, else kindly refrain from commenting!
Few things to note here.
1) Loco link is not decided based on HP of the loco. For most of the trains for IR (other than those which have very aggressive schedules or high speed runs), the loco link is mainly decided based on loco availability and utilization. Locomotives 'cannot' be kept idle. They have to be utilized to the maximum possible extent.
For example, the Bangalore-Bangarpet express used to run with a WAP7 all the time. This was a short distance, slow train with a short rake, and yet...
