Howrah (West Bengal), Mar 31: Five persons, including two women, were today knocked down and killed by a train when they were crossing the tracks at Santragachi railway station in Howrah district,
The speeding Ranchi-Howrah Intercity Express knocked down the five people when they were crossing the tracks instead of using the overbridge at about 2:30 PM, South Eastern Railway sources said.

Well, it looks to b an attractive insurance scheme 4 those who want to commit suicide.
Be victims of railway knockdowns ---- heirs get compensation.
Such accident (tresspasing) cases where FOBs are there shouldnt b compensated by railways.

really sad to hear about that. must be a criss-cross overlapping of rails which confused them. they wanted to save 5 mins but ultimately 5 lives are lost. truly said... sometimes,,, shortcuts are way to death.
because many poor have their homes so they have to cross sir this is not a tragic tropic
