i booked a 2ac ticket from ers to pbr,in porbandar exp 19261..for 8th april..now when i was checking with railway site..there it saying 392 rupees due to fare hike...now my question is how i pay these excess amount..is there any way to pay excess amount nd get a total value ticket frm prs...bcoz i have to submit it to my bank for re-imburse..and they will refund the old amount.

sir i now checked the official notice there is written that either u pay tte the excess fare, or go to prs before boarding train...plz inform me the xat rules..i think insted of going tte..i will pay it to prs and take new fare ticket.
the choice is yours, if you wish to stand in queue and pay the excess amount, its fine.
If you look at convenience, the best way is to pay the excess fare in the train and to take a Excess Fare REceipt which is handed by the TTE to the passenger. You can always claim the Old Rate + Excess Fare Rceipt by producing both receipts in the office. Office would be requiring a proof of payment and you are submitting the same. so why worry? just travel, pay excess fare and claim reimbursement.

thank u so much sir for the clarification..yah its better to pay on board than to stand in q...for such a long time..tte will give me receipt for xtra fare so no problem..i will get it..and everybody knows that fare incresed so they have to pay the fare in full..thank you and all users
