More than 4 hours late running (which turned out to be almost 6 hours at the end of the journey) 12380 Amritsar - Sealdah Weekly Superfast (Jalianwala Bagh/ W.B. Sampark Kranti) Express headed by 22565 Howrah shed WAP-4 makes an impact on ER's High speed section, comprising the 147 km Sitarampur Junction- Shaktigarh Quadruple Line section, and the HB Chord Section. First, it accelerates at Kalipahari, which is just the next station to Asansol Junction. Then it keeps its pace intact, and blasts through Andal Junction and the massive yard. A scheduled halt at Durgapur, and then again to good pace, and as a result, Panagarh vanishes within seconds. Then some slow action, as our train had a scheduled halt at Burdwan Junction and then getting defeated by 12020 Ranchi- Howrah Shatabdi Express at Shaktigarh Junction, but then, at the phenomenal best once again. the wink of an eye. I took videos of more than a dozen stations enroute, but had to delete the others, as the focus of my camcorder did not adjust, and I had a blurred outcome. Btw, the reason behind the late running was due a mixed outcome of fog, massive traffic snarl between Old Delhi Junction and Kanpur Central, and also some mismanagement between Allahabad Junction and Gaya Junction.
