Its not that confusing. Suppose u go to any stn randomly say bpw. Now it will take u some time to find d near by jn. Or big city stn. But if u see with this feature it will sugg. Jhansi and lalitpur and u can traverse easily. Also pf no. Will help to recognise direction.
Sir, the feature of platform numbers is particualrl useful in big stations like NDLS,LKO, ALD, BSB, HWH, BZA, SC, BCT, MAS, etc, where pf numbers are more.
Further, the arrangement of platforms in ALD,SDH is so confusing that you need to have some time to reach properly.
Generally platform allocation strategy is fixed over the time. It hardly changes, except in case of repair works or late arrivals.

Thanks for the elaboration. This site currently does not have data on which pf# on stations go in which direction. For this reason, individual pf# and stations as shown in the figure cannot be done.
However, a variation of your suggestion has already been implemented. In the Home Page, logged-in members will see a list of all Nearby Stations. Clicking on it, will quickly get you the Arr/Dep for that station.
Thanks.

we can still manually allow to set the up and down next big station just for sake of visitors to understand the station layout.
