diptiranjanp 1276 blog postsI want to travel on 12863 on 2/6/12 JER to KJM my nearest stoppage is at BLS (50KM), KGP(65KM), the train does not stop at JER. From BLS it is in WL and from KGP it is RAC. Can I book ticket from KGP to KJM and board from BLS.

no you are wrong Mr. If its kgp then only u can change brd station to BLS(1ST STOPPAGE FROM THE BOOKED STATION).
Now I hav booked ticket from WFD-PRS. It is from KGP to KJM. Lets try for the BP change from JER-PRS after reaching JER.
If the resv.counter is computerised, and the change of brd station be applied before 24 hrs. of dep. of train. then the chart will show the changed brd point. so one can check it online before chart preparation(3 hrs before train dep)
JUST WRITE A FORMAL LETTER ADDRESSING "TO CRS",YOUR STATION NAME , SUB -- REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF BOARDING STATION and endorse the same from CRS and give to resv clerk. ask him do it in your presence. thats all
