Plz elaborate. Alone child .... means both male & female child below 12 yrs... Where is the rule prescribed that ladies quota is only for females above 12 yrs and not for lone female passenger below 12 yrs ? Just post the rules you referred to ... for the benefit of the bloggers. Good day.
Ladies Quota is Available for ladies(irrespective of age) & to males below 12 years.
But railway does not allow to travel children alone with out and responsible person.
So if two passengers(1 Male below 12 years & 1 female below 12 years) are not authorized to travel(in any quota)

@ Plz elaborate on the issues and if possible with posting of relevent rules ....
@ General unreserved ... half tickets... (without any full tickets) are easily available at the counter without much of a trouble. No questions are even asked. Further .... like in Mumbai suburban train ... adult having Rly pass and need half ticket only for minor... it's easily available from the counter. Keep apart, ticket booklets are available and minors do easily travel by punching the appropriate denomination value ticket. ...
