No. SK was also introduced ONLY for end - to-end connectivity. KSK was a problem because of Bangalore's location. The fastest routes from Bangalore do not pass through the rest of the state, and Bangalore is pretty much the only place in the state that IR focused on for a very long time.
The reason for the name and route have been discussed, fought upon many times already. Let's not keep bringing that up in every post related to this train. It was done more than a decade ago for reasons that are not relevant now. (If anything, it was partiality for Bangalore because of which this train did not serve the rest of the state). So leave it at that.
