Jan 21 2019 (07:31) 22221/Mumbai CSMT - Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express
Nashua NH USA
Nashua NH USA 950 blog postsI have something on my mind that I would ask all of you to clarify. We all know that 22109/22110 AC Exp. is also an LHB rake and is given a Raj-like slot between Bhopal and Nizamuddin. Yet it only got a 110 certificate from CRS (now 120?) and is mostly trolled between Bhopal and Nizamuddin. However, the new Raj has no such issues. WHY? What is it about the Rajdhani that section controllers in WCR/NCR are afraid to troll it? It is because it has some backing of politicians, or the RM, or both? Will the controllers get fired if they don't treat it properly? I honestly don't know the answer, hence, my question.

Sir, the load of this train is only 15 coaches, including EOGs. LHB trains with rake length of up to 18 coaches, including EOGs, can run at 130 kmph in NCR and do not require any CRS sanction. The 22109/22110 has 20 coaches, which is why it needs a fresh CRS sanction to run at 130 in NCR. It has been pending for a long time and only god knows when it will happen. The Rajdhani ran at 130 yesterday, including the return journey, when there were 3 extra coaches, increasing the rake length to 18 coaches. Lastly, the way section controlling is done in today’s times, the trains with premium tags always get the highest priority.
