If you are talking about old stations, then yes, there used to be 2 stations in the area.
Visakhapatnam was originally a smaller coastal town. The British created settlements to the north of the old town, called 'Waltair'.
The present day VSKP station was originally called 'Waltair' station (code: WAT). This was the part of the town where the British colonials used to live.

3 km after from the present day VSKP station, there used to be another station called Visakhapatnam town (Code: VSP). This was the original town where the locals used to live. (This station was originally called Vizagapatam, later renamed to Vizagapatnam and finally to Visakhapatnam town). This station used to be between the present day VSKP station and the VSKP port.
It was only a small station and mostly had 3-coach shuttles from WAT connecting to major trains like Howrah mail.
The Visakhapatnam town station was shutdown from 1st April, 1964. Sometime in the 80's, the Waltair station was renamed as Visakhapatnam junction.
