One of the worst maintained trains of SER, Ispat never reaches on time in any of the stations after TATA. The train's cleanliness also gets hampered thanks to its 700 km journey throughout the day. The chairs of the 2S coach are also painful and it is enough for you to give neck spasm. If you are returning to HWH, then do not hesitate to alight at Santragachi as this train gets stranded at Tikiapara carshed for a awful amount of time. However, the food of the train is good, you should try the milk tea, aloo bonda and bread pakora which the pantry boys serve as snacks.

In the return due to heavy traffic after Kharagpur towards Howrah...due to availability of only 1 no. Down line at evening time from kgp to hwh, as both middle and up line after 4 pm in evening gets for running up trains ..so only 1 down line is available for running all down trains including emu, memu, express, sf, premium trains like duronto, humsafar...so Ispat gets delays after Tata and majorly after Kharagpur towards Howrah......4th line Survey between Kgp to Src is underway....hope project gets Approval in comming Budgets and SER will complete it in 4 yrs from then.....So in future after 4th line between Kgp and Src and 3rd line between Tata and Kgp...this late will go
