Okay. Usually in rivers we found stones as sand keeps flowing with water... And stones differ as per geographical locations.. Some where in konkan we may find black and reddish stones but here we have grey colored one..
Beside this dam their is Rock garden too.. With musical water fountain show at night. And also behind this dam their is Ram lakshaman garden as per historical myth When Ram seeta and lakhman where on vanawas they came near this forest and for that reason their is one station also named sitimani which in Kannada properly said as sitemane means house of seeta... Near this 2 rivers will form Krishna and ghataprabha for that one more station name kudala sangam. Joing of rivers..
Wow so this place also has mythological importance.

This dam is named on Lal bahaddur Shastri Reservoir if time permits visit once this dam and also Tungabhadra Dam at hospet.. Don't miss KRS dam and Brindavan garden at Mysuru which u might have seen in lot of old Bollywood movies songs.
