that simply means one more person who booked a ticket in a greater waiting list number (say GNWL 7 8 etc ) has cancelled his/her ticket so the difference between GNWL and WL increased and your is still stagnant as no one holding the confirmed ticket has cancelled.
Few berths will be kept in reserve for VIPs / VVIPs. If not used, it gets released. Since 3 tickets are CNF, the last pax will get CNF 80%chances.
This releasing happens in first charting or the charting which takes place 30 min before departure?

Saddened that WL1 is not confirmed. Does it make sense to go to CST and talk to TTE as there is one birth available from Pune to Banglore. Pls respond asapi if someone is still awake. else i need to cancel to avoid loosing money
