I think all special trains are with Tatkal fare. The premium tatkal is really rip off. They could have limited to a range but in my sector Hyderabad to Ernakulam the premium tatkal fare is Rs. 4900/-. Come on this is loot, no other words to describe.
I in no way try to devalue efforts by railways to do great things but this is not done. My opinion.

Yes agree. They are trying to make maximum money probably not realising that in some cases, flights end up becoming relatively same priced as that of trains. In that case obviously passengers will move to flights.

Yes, I would have opted for Rs.4800 if I get more speed or extra facilities etc. This is not good. At the end I hope IR in few years will turn profitable in passenger segment :)
