irifan2015~ 2504 blog postsIf this KSK runs from YPR to Delhi via UBL, GDG, BJP, SUR, it will provide sampark to few towns of Karnataka, which do not have connectivity to Delhi. Also it will save 100 KM's and a loco reversal, thereby saving atleast 2 to 3 hours of journey time.

3 days slot of this train is still available. A bi weekly new KSK can be introduced so that it shares the slot till UBL, goes via BJP and then maintains the same schedule from Daund.
Your Decision Should Right KSK Should Go Via Yeswantpur-Gadag-Bijapur-Hotgi-Solapur-Duand- Manmad So that Loco reversal can be saved One thing is that this train run Form Yeswantpur to Hnizamuddin via UBL-BGM-MRJ-PUNE-DUAND So Loco reversal take much time on these Station So SWR should make this route so that people of Bijapur Solapur Should Get another Train to Delhi by there is only One Train To Delhi That is Karnataka Express But KSK Is Super Fast Train So People Can reach Delhi In 22hrs
FYI.. Both route has loco reversals.
Route 1 (via Belagavi): Loco reversal at Pune and Daund
Route 2 (via Vijayapura): Loco reversal at Hubballi and Gadag.

I would suggest as follows: Existing KSK via UBL can start from MYS instead of YPR. This will give flexibility to introduce new KSK all 7 days -- 3 days via GTL, GDG, SUR, 2 days via ASK, CTA, BAY, GDG, SUR and 2 days via ASK, UBL, GDG, SUR. All 7 days GDG BJP SUR get a daily train to Delhi. No loss to any town. KSK should be providing Sampark and that too to Karnataka; then only one can justify the name Karnataka Sampark Kranti express.
