This Railway Line if constructed will shorten the distance between Katihar & Pakur . Current Distance is 162.2 kms which will get reduced by 50 kms atleast. A 5625 metres long Railway Bridge will have to be made on Ganga River at Rajmahal for this purpose

sahibganj to manihari bridge is already sanctioned. demand it to be a rail cum road bridge. whats the point in building another 5km bridge through which very few trains are going to pass. look at the munger bridge for instance.

Sahibganj - Tejnarayanpur - Kumedpur New Line ( 26 Km).
Imaginary Project Details :- 26 Km new line from Sakrigali Jn to Kumedpur jn via tejnarayanpur with a 3.5 km Rail cum Road Bridge over Ganga .
3 New Stations & 2 Y link at Sakrigali & Tejnarayanur .
