Railways should not charge cancellation fees on E-Tickets which do not get confirmed and automatically get cancelled. They should charge only for the tickets cancelled by passengers. This is unfair that Railways deduct charges for waitlisted tickets which are not confirmed after chart preparation. Can a mass petition in Supreme Court be filed for this? I urge members of Indiarailinfo to start a movement against Railways to remove cancellation charges on tickets not confirmed.

Dear Viswanath..do you think lodging a complain on IRCTC website will do anything? The Railways are not bothered. I have already raised this much before but nothing happened. Only the power of masses can force Railways to remove cancellation charges on tickets which get automatically cancelled. because i think that person who booked the ticket has not bookede the ticket to get it cancelled by Railways, but to travel on it. unfortunately Railways are taking undue advantage from passengers who neither get the seats nor the full amount paid, without any fault. Instead of compensating passengers, Railways deduct cancellation charges...why?
