This is not a fast train by any means. There are so many trains that reach BZA with travel time of 5:30 hrs. When this train was proposed under Suresh prabhu it was said that it will have running time of 4:30 hrs which then would have been the fastest . Even previous MP K.Haribabu also told the same but it was a dream washedoff
Good point but thing railways is acting smart either if it is a Non AC train or a AC train no question of occupation arises may be for 1st few weeks of Uday you may see it free but later it attracts a lot of passengers. But as u said a NonAc train can be introduced with much more speed like janshtabdi which we can only expect after Scor taking its charge. Till then railways will look after money AC gets them.more money when compared to earning of NonAc
BZA - VSKP is very busy section. Tripping only helps us to get more train.
DD may be more successful from BZA - VSKP side as not much trains at time. Also we cannot measure intercity trains occupancy through bookings as we can expect 15-20% last minute passengers.

Is there any press note released today about Uday?? Whether it will be flagged off on sep1st or not??
