It's ghat section, so progress is very slow.
At many places, they can't go for previous route because of curves. Plus biggest interference in every such project "Forest Department".

In that case they can use Canadian tunneling, so animal can easily use upper side or lower side.
Forest Department is interfering, that doesn't mean animals are around. They can interfere wherever they want to.
Suggestion is good. We only could wish that they should go for it.
