CLW PRODUCED 7,000 LOCOMOTIVES
New Delhi: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has produced 7,000 electric locomotives (32597) upto 25th October of the current financial year 2019-20. In CLW, the production of electric locomotives started in 1961. Since 1961, CLW produced about 17 types of locomotives of various capacity. During a splendid journey of almost 58 yrs, CLW moved from DC to AC and to then migrated to IGBT based technology locomotives. Praveen Kumar Mishra, General Manager flagged off the 7,000th locomotive of WAG-9HC series bearing no. 32597 from CLW in a simple ceremony on Friday morning accompanied by Ram Prakash, PCEE; DK Mondal, PCME; Shri Nitin Dhimole, PCMM & Ramashish Yadav, SDGM and other officers of CLW, staff & supervisors in large...
