Totally agree with you (especially the last lines). 100% electrification of railway tracks throughout the country, as said by rail minister, will also include electrification of branch lines and those sections in which limited train services run every day. Electrifying such sections will be wastage of money! Thank you very much for this explanation!
It should have been developed decades back, Now whats much use. Railways want to make total its network electrified in next 3-4 years.
They targetted more than 90% in next 2-3 years. Most of major lines already done.
