I have been trying to log in to www.irctc.co.in sin 7:45 in the morning to book a ticket in Tatkal quota. But the site is not available. I get a message - 'Service Unavailable'. Last night I was able to log in but Tatkal quota opens in the morning. Is this a permanent pattern for www.irctc.co.in to not let users log in to book Tatkal tickets? Or I am the only one to experience it?
u r correct irctc site sleeps from 8-10am its very-2 difficult to get tatkal ticket if u got its a miracle
Its not ususal thing always. Just now i booked a tatkal ticket. Keep trying.
I am not even able to see the home page (log in screen) of the site, booking a Tatkal ticket seems to be a far cry now. It's already 8:32 and from www.indianrail.gov.in I can see that Tatkal quota is vanishing rapidly!
better to try at PRS counter. go early morning, fillup the railway reservation form one day before. chances are high. IRCTC is too unpredictable
