Santragachi to Coimbatore rate for AC 2 tier is Rs.8550. Don't know why this much amount charged by IR whereas only around 3000 in same class in other trains.....

High demand is because of holiday season and also because some trains got cancelled.
Actually speaking for benefit of those who got stranded, normal fare specials should be run.
