Kalijai Island of Chilika lake which is famous for it's Temple of Lord Kali is located near this station. Drop in this station and ask anyone to drop you at Swosti Chilika(approx 3kms from station). From that place you can rent a boat to Kalijai island . To reach the island it will take around 1hr. Best season to go to this island is winter's as you may get chance to see lakhs of migratory birds who arrive in lake Chilika during this season
