Soon 27 Superfast trains on Delhi-Mumbai route will run at a speed of 130 kmph. At present, only 10 Rajdhani and Duronto Express are running...
That is a very tough task to ask. Both these routes were MG initially and converted to BG which had sharp curves/gradients because of its guage. You will find too many places where a PSR of 45 is in place. So unless they change alignment while doubling, you'll never get continuous 130 track. WR's Mumbai Delhi route is fairly straight with very few tough gradients/curves only in Kota dvn. Most importantly, trains have been running at 130 for decades on this route. Remember ICF Raj with CC also ran at 130?
