Couldn't understand fully what u wrote but by the word bus and shift - some travellers travel by train no matter what is the travel time and some prefer bus. The factors may be convenient boarding and alighting points, fare difference between different modes of transport affordability factor which makes people book weeks months before when they travel every week on the same day. By the way KSRTC introduced Ambari dream class Volvo sleeper and the travel time is 7.5hrs as reported by a blogger in bcmtouring.com volvob9r thread.
