Now Earth Works been done upto kalghatagi for this new Line can be useful for Future Proposed hubli -kalghatagi-Sirsi-Shivamogga new line connectivity.
As I said before in another post... The UBL Ankola line would be redundant after the doubling of the UBL- VSG section.
Glad it got shelved. The damage to ecology would be irreversible besides becoming a financial burden for IR in case of low demand.

This too Will Cause Ecological Damage but to a lower extent unlike ubl ankola.... but is thats It well No .it's not just one Unl ankola over Western ghats. There are several some even more grave. Smet-Sringeri-maq, Cmgr-Mudigere-belur, Cmgr-Sringeri, mys-Satyamangalam, wayanad-mys,etc etc
