This train has i think has high chances of Cancellation in TAAG2020, SER and ECOR not giving ICE type train in this route.
But since it is the only train between Kolkata and Paradeep, so hoping it doesn't get Cancelled. SER can Short Terminate this train at Kharagpur instead of carrying empty rake to Santragachi and parking there whole day. Also Kharagpur to Santragachi stretch 1 train load will reduce.

Agree with there is no use to travellers when it's the only train in the section and just 50-100 km from mainline running weekly when distance is very less for operating a night train. A day time train to KGP and BBS 2 schedules in a day will spur traveller activity for such towns s and routes.
Does this have any connection to the mentioned subject of paradeep SRC
Yes correct....there were several request to ECOR to run a daytime train with 2S, II composition. KGP DRM Sir few years back has also sent this proposal for ECOR Khurda road to review. ECOR Khurda road Division don't know they did survey also regarding this but don't know no reply after that further.
ECOR looked least interested in running trains for passengers benefit, they only want the VSKP-PRDP Exp RSA to be used running this PRDP-SRC Exp.
