If RB and SER had used their brains properly, then BGY wouldn't have been the dead end. It could have been joined with Tata via Badampahar line and these mining areas would get a sanjivani medicine. Freights from these areas either take the TATA-HIJJLI line or the KDJR line to go into Odisha ports or industries or thermal power plants.
Jakhapura-KDJR is also a new branch line opened by ECoR. It was also earlier a dead end but see the way ECoR has made this line and helped the mines and industries of this belt. Now even ECoR has started works for joining Khurda-BBS with Balangir via the untouched districts of Sonepur, Boudh, and Nayagarh. Even ECoR has started the work...

"no earnest efforts have been made by South Eastern Railway (SER) to take it up on a priority basis" for JER-Digha 41 km line. Odisha CM has written many times to RM for starting this project but after 8-9 years of hiatus, finally news cam this year that it will soon be scrapped off.
SER was asleep from so many years and now recently they proposed for the BGY-Badampahar new line and connecting it with Tatanagar.

Why was SER asleep from so many years? Why SER and KGP DRM were sleeping even after numerous times the Bangiposi-Baripada people forum and different citizen groups raised this demand in front of them?
Why the Baripada city is so developed with such a high class of living still having a dilapidated and PH standard of the railway station with only 1 intercity train to BBS and 1 non-daily unreserved train to Shalimar Kolkata?
Why the Rupsa-Bangriposi section is still a single diesel section and without proper passing stations en route from so many years?
