Sarnath express - as Calm as Gautam Buddha - Ayush M

It was Republic Day of 2020; I decided to visit Malleswaram along with Natarajan C, where he had a small meet-up with some friends. Being a Sunday; we anticipated the usual parallel action departure of the Basava Express & Jodhpur Express. It is a usual sight on Fridays and Sundays; while the Garib Nawaz Exp bound for Ajmer does the parallel dep on Friday, it is the Jodhpur bound weekly exp on Sunday that departs at the same time as Basava. All 3 trains have a departure time of 17:00 hrs (5 pm) from KSR Bengaluru; given that the section till Yeshvantpur is a twin single line section, it enables the possibility of the trains leaving together and continuing the parallel run at least till Yeshvantpur Jn.; where the Ajmer/Jodhpur Exp moves ahead since the Basava Exp has an extended 15 mins halt there.

On most Fridays & Sundays, many RFs have managed to spot this parallel action, while some times it has ended up like this video, wherein one train chases another.

Could have been a parallel action, but Jodhpur decided to take it easy; thus, it ended up becoming a chase 😅
