On most of the engines it is written like WAP-7 GZB,on some WAP-4 MGS,WAP-4 CNB.Like that.most of the station names are perhaps location of DRM office.some exceptions to it are like CNB.
So is it the name of shed.??
Generally shed names are mostly cities with DRM office.is it so?or it is a big railway juntcion.what is the criteria for the same.

When CLW n DLW were established, few places held steam n diesels. MGS has homed steam n HWH owned electrics, diesel. KGP holds mainly diesels since 1900's or so.
BNDM doesn't has a DRM but its controlled by Rourkela branch. Similarly for AJNI, GOC, and other places which are controlled by DRM's which are far. there is no rule tat only a place which has DRM should also hold locos.
